Requirements for Joining Silver City Regional Association of REALTORS®

  • You must "hang" your license in a member real estate office or real estate appraiser's office. A member Broker/Appraiser is billed yearly dues according to the number of licensees in their office. Most brokers pass the dues requirement costs on to their associates.
  • Complete and return a membership application.
  • Call the local association office for breakdown of yearly REALTOR® Dues as they are prorated by the local, state and national association on a monthly basis.
  • Additional fees are: A local application fee of $200 (one-time fee). The RANM® new member application fee of $35 (one-time fee). The NAR® PR Campaign Assessment of $30 and any additional fees as designated by the associations from time to time.
  • Take the online new member ethics course from NAR® and attend the mandatory local association orientation course. If these requirements are not fulfilled your membership will be suspended until completion.
  • If you drop your membership in the Association or MLS or have your memberships suspended for any reason, upon renewal, application fees will be charged.

Steps for Joining the Silver City Regional Multiple Listing Service

  • If your broker or appraiser participant belongs to an MLS, you must also join an MLS. You may join any MLS to which your broker belongs.
  • Complete the SCRAR® membership application.
  • There is not an application fee for a "subscriber" (associate) joining the MLS. However, the one time application fee for a "participant" (broker/appraiser office) is $400.
  • Once the Association Executive receives the application and fees you will have access to the MLS. Your monthly MLS dues will then be billed on your broker's next MLS Invoice. Currently the subscriber and participant fees are $48 + tax a month.
