According to the recently published 2025 REALTORS® Residential Sustainability Report, 58% of real estate professionals believe that emphasizing energy-efficient features in a property listing can increase its value. Green upgrades, like improved windows, doors, and insulation, can potentially reduce the escalating costs of home maintenance. However, buyers often overlook inquiring about these features.

Approximately 75% of Americans express concern over increasing electric and gas utility bills this year, with 63% stating these expenses contribute to their financial stress, according to a 2025 poll by PowerLines, a consumer education nonprofit.
