Core Requirement Information:

Completing the annual 4‑hour NMREC Core Course is mandatory for license renewal and must be taken once per year within the 3‑year renewal cycle. The course reinforces current laws, ethical obligations, and broker duties, helping reduce liability and maintain compliance.

Key Points:

  • Required Every Year: All active and inactive licensees must complete the 4‑hour Core Course annually. Avoid Penalties: Missing a year can trigger significant consequences, including having to take the 30‑hour Broker Basics course.

  • Broker Duties & Compliance: Emphasizes the “First Five” duties and other updated legal requirements. Professional Development: Includes current hot topics, industry changes, and essential legal and ethical guidance.

Failure to complete this course on time often results from procrastination, making it crucial to plan early, as even inactive licensees are not exempt from this requirement.
