REALTORS® know first-hand from their clients that buying a home is often a shared experience, but it isn’t always an easy shared experience online. To address this challenge, Realtor.com® has launched two new features that will make it easier for those buying or renting together to collaborate, share listings and feedback while keeping track of all the details in one place as they search for a new place to call home.
MLS users/REALTOR®-members! November 17 at 10:00 a.m. PST/1:00 p.m. EST Check out November's Connected Conversation webinar. The hot topic discussion will highlight the Realtor.com® collaboration experience for co-buyers/renters. REALTORS® can participate in the live Q&A. Register Here - other dates and times are available.
The Co-Buyer/Renter collaborative feature allows consumers buying or renting together to connect their Realtor.com accounts to share saved searches, listings and listing-specific comments only they can see.
The Property Feedback Request feature allows consumers to share and request feedback on specific listings with their friends and family, capturing comments and ratings within their saved homes. Ratings and comments are visible only to the requestor and their shopping partner, if they have one.
What should REALTORS® know about these new features?
By connecting consumers within the Realtor.com platform to share homes and solicit feedback within their account, Realtor.com is creating a homebase to attract and retain high-intent homebuyers on the site. This will increase referral and lead opportunities for real estate professionals.
Consumers and the REALTOR® they're connected with through ReadyConnect ConciergeSM (one of the Realtor.com managed service products) can already collaborate via the Inbox feature in the REALTOR®’s Referral Manager app. However, to the consumer, this still looks and feels like they’re sending messages to their agents via SMS.
With the new Property Feedback Request feature, consumers will now be able to request property feedback from their REALTOR®, just like from their family and friends, and save and organize this feedback within their Realtor.com account.
Looking ahead: While the team has focused collaboration features on consumers to start, we understand and have future plans to empower consumers looking to collaborate with their REALTOR® and other professionals throughout the journey. - The Realtor.com® Industry Relations Team
