Members Gather for Summer Rally: Event Highlights

Our program kicked off with an informational presentation and Q&A from our sponsor TCNM, a Stewart Co., featuring Erica Orrantia and Javier Sanchez. Grant County Emergency Manager Scot Fuller followed with an engaging update on the 2026 Wildfire Protection Plan, the Wildfire Prepared certificate program for homeowners, and countywide natural‑disaster readiness efforts—including the Text My Gov alert system, an internal notification program, and new generators for community centers, fire departments, and senior centers to ensure continuity during power failures.

President Cassie Carver reported on the success of the recent First‑Time Homebuyer Bootcamp held with local housing partners, as well as the upcoming NMAR Conference in Las Cruces.

AE Kim Clark shared upcoming office closures, current projects with the Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments, including the launch of www.housinghubsouthwest.com, and information on forthcoming director nomination openings.

Members enjoyed gathering at The Tap Room, where the friendly atmosphere and delicious food made this year’s Summer Rally even better.
