May 2024 has been a busy month for the SCRMLS Board of Directors and admin. We've moved fields around in Paragon, and added new fields.
Below is a list of the changes that were made earlier in May in response to requests from the SCRMLS Data Fields Survey that was open for input the first quarter of 2024:
Added 3rd listing and selling broker and brokerage to all classes.
Added floodplain to the disclosure feature category for land, commercial, multi family and farm/ranch. It was already in residential.
Removed "fixer upper" from the style feature category in residential as it went into the new property conditions below.
*Note: the responses in the survey will be reviewed again later in 2024.
Recently NAR requested that MLSs consider adding safety fields to MLSs. The SCRMLS Board of Directors has been working since 2023 on the fields and voted in May to adopt the RESO safety fields, with a few changes to accommodate local custom, and fields already in Paragon.
Added RESO Safety fields as new feature categories in residential input.
Property Conditions: fixer upper, new construction, to be built, under construction, updated/remodeled.
Showing Considerations: day sleeper, electricity not on, inconsistent cell service, limited visibility from road, minimal exterior lighting, minimal interior lighting, no interior lighting, occupied, pets on premises, remote location, security system, see remarks.
Next, we will be renaming the feature category that is now titled Showing Instructions to Showing Requirements and merging what we have with the RESO requirements fields.
Lastly, the Board voted to implement the concession fields in Paragon using the recommendations from RESO. These new fields will go live in our Paragon system on May 23.
May 23 video posted on the Paragon homepage until June 3:

(UPDATED May 21) Seller Concessions: A Guide for REALTORS®
Under the settlement the MLS must ensure that the seller concessions are not limited to or conditioned upon the retention of or payment to a cooperating broker, buyer broker, or other buyer representative.
June 5 updating the Concession Y/N field to add "call listing broker" in addition to the Y/N options.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our MLS admin or President for more information on these changes.
